August 7th presentation on Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking is defined as forcing, fooling, or frightening someone into performing labor or sex acts for profit.

Cathy Chang and her husband, Juan Lopez, are mission co-workers in Manila, Philippines. They help global partners such as churches and nongovernmental organizations address issues of migration and human trafficking.

They will be speaking at Marshall Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, August 7, at 7pm.  All are welcome to join in this eye-opening presentation.

That same evening, get involved locally through Project No Rest will be shared. Project No Rest works to reduce human trafficking in North Carolina.

Join with your neighbors Tuesday, August 7 to hear from Cathy and Juan about the work of global and local partners seeking justice, speaking up for the voiceless, and setting the oppressed free. Find out how we all can be part of the solution.

Worship May 20th

Because of the rain we will NOT meet at Glory Ridge for Pentecost Sunday.  Instead we will worship in the MPC Catacombs (our basement chapel) because the carpet in the sanctuary is still damp from being cleaned.

All are welcome to join us for Pentecost Sunday.

It's raining cats and dogs outside but it's warm and dry inside here at Marshall Presbyterian Church!
So come on to worship and don't worry about your hair, we'll all have Bad Hair too, and God won't care about that!😀

Madison Has Heart's Fanciful Flea

Thank you to everyone who donated items. gave their time, and shopped today to keep Madison County residents warm!

Lynne Simpson modeled a Japanese wedding Kimono before church on Sunday.    This Kimono is one of many treasures to be found at the 5th annual Fanciful Flea fundraiser for heating-assistance for Madison County residents.  Don't miss the fun, the coffeeshop, the bake sale, or a chance to wear a wedding Kimono:

Madison Has Heart's fifth annual Fanciful Flea will be packed full of upscale, collectable, and unique treasures. Regional primitives, jewelry, furniture, home furnishings and accessories, collectables, fine art, and other upscale items will be for sale, accompanied by acoustic entertainers in a coffeehouse music format and food from local eateries. A country-style, made-from-scratch bake sale will also take place. All proceeds go to Madison Has Heart's much-needed heating-assistance program, with funds distributed directly to local families through Neighbors in Need. No Worship February 4

Because of iffy roads, in various quadrants of the county, Marshall Presbyterian Church will not meet for worship today. Stay safe, stay warm, and we'll see you next week!

In the meantime, please read 1 Corinthians 9:16-23. What does being "all things to all people" mean to you?

January 14 - Church is ON!

We aren't letting a little thing like 14 degrees and spotty ice stop us from worshipping at the regular time of 11 a.m., so come on! You might hear the choir sing "Ice, Ice, Baby!"
